The pupils got involved with different types of activities throughout the weekend including: orienteering, canoeing, ropes course and a trip to the camp fire as well as music rehearsals each day.
Everyone had a fantastic time, and got stuck in with all the activities. It was great to go away for the weekend with friends from different schools. We even took the Music Hub mascot along with us, Rusty the monkey!
We enjoyed getting our instruments out and our singing voices warmed up over the weekend and playing / making music together. The instrumentalists and vocalists performed to each other at the end of the weekend and we were all impressed by how much each group had worked on in just two days.
Thank you to High Borrans for welcoming us so kindly. Thank you to Victoria Vasey, Liz Clark and Susie Jones, for looking after the pupils over the weekend, and running the activities. Thank you to the parents of the pupils for making the trip possible. And a big thank you to the young musicians that came along and made the weekend so much fun with their enthusiasm and boundless energy.
