North Tyneside Pupils Rocked Children in Need

Children from our local primary schools were singing their hearts out on national television.

Students from Amberley Primary, Benton Dene Primary and Star of the Sea Primary joined together with other children from schools across the North East to create a regional choir to sing live on BBC1 during this year’s Children in Need.  The children came together in the beautiful venue of the Discovery Museum in Newcastle and were excellent in their part of the performance.

The choir’s rendition of ‘Over the Rainbow’ left many with tears in their eyes and feeling very proud as the children battled the nerves, excitement and the pressure of the large-scale event. All the children had a wonderful time and were honoured to be chosen to represent the North East in such a big way.

Congratulations to all who pulled it out of the bag on the night!
