Spirited Mouth of the Tyne Parade included 100 Drummers and 500 Dancers

This years' Mouth of the Tyne Parade on 7th July was better than ever.

MOTT Parade 2

For this year, we had one of the biggest coollaborations we've ever had as approximately 100 children and young people from Kings Priory, John Spence, Whitehouse, Percy Main, Battle Hill, New York, Denbigh, Spring Gardens and Appletree Gardens First gathered together in Tynemouth as part of a 500 strong Carnival parade of adults and young people

MOTT Parade 3

Other paraders included the Samba band DrumDin and Music from Graham Hardy’s band, as well as creative responses from schools and community groups in costume and dance.  The dress rehearsal for the 100 drummers was hosted by Percy Main and could be heard for miles as the sound ricocheted around the playing fields and local community..

The event this year was a sight not to be missed: where staff, pupils and families all come together to support each other as part of the regional celebration that is Mouth of the Tyne. We are already looking forward to next years' parade!
